Clear-View Inc. recently completed a vital project in Mt Holly, NC, ensuring safety and protection for our valued customer in Mt. Holly. Our task involved more than just installing a new fire hydrant – we took comprehensive measures to safeguard the infrastructure. Our contribution encompassed excavating and installing three robust 4” bollards (Schedule 40 – Galvanized Steel), strategically set in concrete for durability. Following the bollard installation, we meticulously patched the asphalt surrounding the hydrant and bollards, ensuring a seamless finish. The area was then compacted for stability.
Recognizing the hydrant’s proximity to the vehicle drive lane, we went the extra mile by welding two 3” (Schedule 40 – Galvanized Steel) pipes between the installed bollards. This added layer of protection shields the hydrant from potential damage, reinforcing its resilience against any accidental impacts.
The project concluded with a finishing touch – painting the bollard protection around the hydrant. The aesthetically pleasing coating not only adds visual appeal but also enhances the durability of the protective elements.
To accommodate our client’s needs, we ensured the retention of their protective railing. This allows them to open the area at their convenience while maintaining the overall security provided by our installation.
