Recently, Clear-View, Inc. had the opportunity to work with American Airlines at their Charlotte location, where they needed a mixed-use ramp added to one of their entrances. This project called for precision, durability, and a commitment to safety.
The ramp, approximately 8 feet wide by 12 feet long, was designed to handle mixed-use traffic while ensuring accessibility. At the top, the ramp was poured at a robust 8-inch thickness, gradually tapering down to 4 inches at the bottom to ensure structural integrity and smooth elevation transitions.
One of the standout features of this project was the concrete landing and ramp that our team poured on-site. As always, we aimed for top-quality craftsmanship in all our paving and parking lot services, paying close attention to ensure the ramp’s surface was durable and long-lasting.
In addition to the ramp itself, Clear-View fabricated and welded the custom handrails on-site. These handrails, made from 1 ½-inch, 14-gauge steel, offer strong support while enhancing the ramp’s safety. Once the project was completed, American Airlines opted to paint the handrails safety yellow to meet their internal standards for visibility and safety compliance.
We’re proud of our team’s ability to deliver on this project and are grateful for the chance to collaborate with American Airlines. Clear-View, Inc. remains dedicated to providing high-quality solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.
