Recently, the Clear-View, Inc. team completed a week-long asphalt repair project across the Gaston College campus, helping restore pavement conditions and improve long-term performance in several high-traffic areas.
This project focused on repairing damaged asphalt throughout the campus, including significant work within the campus roundabout where pavement deterioration required more extensive restoration.
Project Scope
Over the course of the project, our crew completed about 24 repairs in a variety of locations across campus. Repair areas ranged in size from approximately 4′ x 4′ up to 10′ x 28′, with many of the larger repairs located within the roundabout area.
To ensure durable, long-lasting results, each repair area followed a detailed process that included:
- Saw cutting damaged pavement sections for clean repair edges
- Excavating deteriorated asphalt and preparing the base
- Installing and compacting new surface-grade asphalt
- Finishing repairs to create a smooth, functional driving surface
Because these repairs were completed in active campus traffic areas, careful planning and coordination were essential to maintain access while work progressed safely and efficiently.
